Although I did anticipate an older crowd, this was beyond any of my expectations. The crowd the previous year on the 10 day Princess cruise we took was as old, however this one the audience was more immobilized. There were far more oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, than I could have imagined. The lido deck pool, nice area, covered with the magical dome, well at least 70% of the daytime, the dome was 80% shut, thus prohibiting a lot of sun.."oh the seniors would complain.." On the 10 days, we maybe saw our stateroom attendant 5 times, unlike other cruises where we would see him all the time, saying hello, how are things, etc. We couldn't even remember his name..! Great rooms with LCD TV's...just dont try to change the channel...you have to be craning your arm about 4 feet in the air, which is difficult when laying down, as the TV's are set back on a shelf. Of the 1400 or so passengers, > 200 were Canadian...refreshing...! The dining room was fantastic..the staff were great...meals..well as expected. The overall experience has moved me away from Holland America and back to Princess. Cheers
