The Volendam is a beautiful ship. The crew are all very friendly. The nightly entertainment was top notch. I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn on the Bay in San Diego before boarding the cruise home to Vancouver. It is wonderful to be by the water and all the quaint shops and resturants in downtown San Diego. We only had one rough day at sea, but the staff were very helpful and considerate. The most beautiful sight was going under the Lionsgate bridge at 6am into the harbour of Vancouver. I have lived in Vancouver all of my life, but this experience was truly breath-taking. Theresa K.
